    I tried it, but I found things were always falling out. I would rather leave the bug net mostly open and also have use of the shelf with the BB.

    I took the Traveler XL out last weekend. Thought I would miss the shelf more than I did. I clipped my keys to the ridgeline, put most of what I had in my pockets in the backpack and what I needed handy through the night I put in the small stuffstack from my pillow, which was also hanging from the ridgeline. It was quite enjoyable.

    I thought I would miss it more. I still do obviously. But I also like to keep camp really organized and this helps me not have the stuff to fall out in the first place.

    Yes, one thing from the ridgeline...the rest in my pack right below me or on my chair.

    I prefer a hammock with a bug net as I tend to kick my TQ out of the hammock otherwise.
    I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
