Ordered WBBB 1.1DL, Superfly and Winter Topcover on 4/1/15

Still no word on shipment. I guess I won't be one of those amazing delivery times stories where the order was placed and I walked to the front door to greet the UPS guy within minutes.

I am an absolute hammock noob and a 70 yr old geezer to boot. Main use will be motorcycle camping and backpacking. Last year made a 6 week trip to Alaska and the Arctic Circle with my son on adventure motorcycles, camping nearly every night. Wanted something that set up and tears down quicker than my tent. Volume as important as weight. Going to ground will be necessary at times. Not sure where future adventures will take me but can guarantee they will be remote.

My son is pressuring me to go backpacking so I may start out "easy", if there is anything that can be defined as easy when I live in an area (Washington State) surrounded by mountains. I got the winter cover despite that I could find very little info and comparative testing. I may have to be the test bed. Any feedback will be appreciated.

This site has been very useful and informative during my selection process. Thanks to all of you for sharing your tips, techniques, and general knowledge.

it sounds like we have a lot in common. I did a motorcycle ride from VA to arctic circle in Alaska a few years ago and camped all the way, and just last week ordered a warbonnet blackbird xlc too. I plan to do another trip this year and I'm planning to bring the hammock and my tent too, just in case.

but i'm nowhere near 70 though so that's where we differ.

I placed my order on the 27th. Still no word. Did you order the camo by chance. I'm thinking maybe the camo is taking longer or perhaps the top cover. I'm sure they're just taking extra time on ours, just to make sure that they're perfect.

I ordered the non-camo. did you order the camo version? if so i guess that explains why mine shipped before yours.

I ordered the non camo. I did order the winter top cover and I suspect that would add to the fulfillment time.

novasquid says..."but i'm nowhere near 70 though so that's where we differ. " I am no where near 70 either if you don't count my body.

Now if you get yours before me...It's all good. I imagine they're getting a few orders in with the warmer weather.

Terran Terran you must be the lucky one. Ordered a Blackbird XLC on 3/19 and it still hasn't shipped...

Well worth the wait. Pick up a copy of "The Ultimate Hang" and digest that. Lots of great information in one place.
