Talking Video: An Adventure On The Appalachian Trail

Finally got around to getting this video up. I make these for myself and it's a benefit if others enjoy them.... with that said, there may be a part or two that are a bit long for you, but remember that they are my memories Hope you guys enjoy coming along with me on my hike. The AT was truly an amazing experience. Hopefully some day I'll be able to hike its entire length.

Awesome! I pulled out my AWOL guide to see where you were and elevations, water sources and all!
What camera is that? A GoPro?

    Bic,

Well, I wouldn't be the one to complain about a video being too long :^). Like you, I make them mostly for the memories. I can't do it right now, but I'll be watching soon.

I hope the chickens are doing well.

All I have is my phone right now ... I am sure this will fill my lunch break tomorrow just perfectly.

Just finished watching your video ... not too long by any means. Thanks for taking us with you.

There are many people out there that think the Appalachian Mountains aren’t mountains … LOL. While they are not the Rocky Mountains, they are short and punchy and can still kick butt. I learned a long time ago that straight line map reading in the mountains doesn’t count the switch backs.

I hope that you are able to hit the AT again in the near future.

I'm headed to do that section in a month from now. It was awesome to watch your progress and see what I'm up against! The following month we're headed up to the Smokies to do that section.

Great video! I watched the whole thing and thought it was well done.

Chickens are doing alright.... we lost two to a hawk a few weeks ago, but after some changes in the run, things are good

Was an amazing amazing time.... the people I met were great, and it was such a different kind of hike from what I normally do!

Thanks for taking us along! Too bad about the trekking poles but I hear that's an issue with TSA.

"Indigenous life forms" was good (trail working crew). Looks like you made quite a few new friends on the way up!

(and I have less than no idea what kind of trial name I'd end up with... egads!)
