    Quilt projects

Did this Argon and 2.5 oz climashield quilt last year, and just laced the foot box up temporary to test. After a few nights, decided to go ahead and sew it up. Quilt is approx 52"x71", covers my 6'4" frame up to the shoulders just fine for warmer weather. Weighs 12.8 ounces.

Also want a warmer weather UQ, and will likely go with a 2.5oz climashield and Argon here also. But, I had a piece of IX and some 1.9oz rip stop, some people made a single layer insultex and ripstop UQ to test. It is small, 35"x52", but only weighs 6.5 ounces. Gotta add suspension and test, but might be good for summer use.

    Nice work!

If you did it again, would you change anything about the TQ design?

Maybe taper the foot box end, it doesn't need to be so wide. I have big feet though, so the space is nice.

Good work, what's the typical "comfortable" temp range for 2.5oz climashield?

I believe in the 40's, but not 100% sure. Although I saw where medicineman posted he took his into the 30's.

If he made it comfortably into the 30's w/o significant other insulation - he's a MAN!!! Around 50° is what most get comfortably down to.

That bit aside, good job on your new insulation!
