Which suspension should i buy? First Hammock please help

Hi, i am about to order the Clark Nx-270. This will be my first hammock purchase and I am confused though on which type of suspension should i get? i have seen tree straps, whoopie slings, dutch suspension kits, tree webbings, Dutch buckles, and hooks. Which one should i buy and is there a big difference between the different type? Thanks for the help.

Grab the Dutch whoopie hook suspension and call it a day.

I suggest just ordering the Clark Tree Straps with your hammock and using them until you get a little experience and have a better idea what you might want to change. Keep it simple starting out.

I just have climbing grade carabiners at the gathered ends of my hammock, attach them right to the tree straps with a marlin spike hitch, (simplest knot ever).
It's certainly not the lightest option out there, but this setup has been working pretty well so far, simple and inexpensive.
I may upgrade to whoopies eventually, once I figure out what the shortcomings of my current system are.

I'll second whoopie hooks and whoopie slings! Couldn't be easier!
Two heads are good, three are great, but all heads at hammockforums is the best case scenario!

As gmcttr suggested, keep it simple for starters. I used my Hennessy Hammock OEM suspension for over a year before upgrading (continuous loops on the hammock ends and whoopie slings attached between those and the tree straps). I'm glad I waited because I had a better idea of what I was looking for in a suspension after having some hangs under my belt rather than blowing through multiple suspensions trying to find one I liked the best while learning the basic art of hanging at the same time.

Unless you have some experience with hanging, then the Clark system supplied with the tarp will be a problem. Yes it can work. Yes it also is problematic to adjust. Some have given up on their Clarks because of this. Life is easy if you use tree straps and cinch buckles. My question is more of why does Clark continue to offer such an albatross suspension system?
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
