I was tinkering around with my suspension this week end and wondered what is an average weight on people's suspension?

Speed hooks, with amsteel and strap.
Well, speed hooks are light, but no longer sold. I would imagine the Dutch Whoopie Hook suspension is the lightest suspension current sold (3.84 oz. with 4 ft. poly tree huggers), or 2.58 oz. with Kevlar tree huggers.

You could probably go lower with UCRs, but I'm not a fan.

This is 1 inch poly tree strap and 7/64 whoopies. Just a different attachment method (at least as far as I have seen). The weight I quoted does not include the continuous loops at each end of the hammock though.
7ft long straps, connecting to the hammock continuous loop with a becket hitch
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.
When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

Absolutely. With a 7ft tree strap, there is typically 3 to 4 ft of adjustment on each end. I'm using a Dutch Clip on the strap for attaching to the tree, and the pair of straps / entire suspension is 108 grams / 3.75 ounces.
