DIY 8.9 oz full coverage zippered bug net

Finished my DIY zippered bug net. No see um from RSBTR, zipper from DIY Gear Supply. It actually weighs 8.9 oz, the shoe lace weighs .1 oz. Hangs on my 11' hammock.

Looks nice. I'm about to be putting one together myself.
Is there a reason you went with a horizontal zipper instead of a vertical?
Living Minnesota! Great Land, lousy politics. But hey, my family is here so......

Not at all. Just "felt" right. I unzip and can swing my legs out pretty easy. I did think about a curved zipper but this seems to work ok and probably less hassle. The vertical would be cool too but I am kind of a wide guy and my perception was I might have more trouble getting out of a vertical opening.

Good work Latriper! Do the same thing with nylon and you'll have a nice hammock sock for cooler weather. If you make the zipper in the shape of an upside down smile, you'll have plenty of in/out room.

    Thanks V_Allen!
I had seen a net somewhere where the zipper was like a sideways smile i.e. ( . I may try the upside down smile. I have friend that started with tule and it has not held up well and he wants me to make him one.
