Podcast

Just wondering why no one has started a podcast about hammock camping and or gear. There seems to be a podcast for everything else.

There has been talk about it a few times. I have thought about doing it a few times my self. Lots of work and an already busy schedule has put the breaks on it.

I too have mulled the idea. Still may. Content wise it would be easier than video with no "face-time". But...it would take a regular commitment to keep listeners.

I have some knowledge in sound equipment from running live sound but not sure what all it would take to do a podcast. I wonder how often you would have to put out a episode? Weekly, biweekly or monthly?

I thought it was a great idea when you told me about it a few years ago and I hope you get some free time to do it someday. Would be informative and entertaining for sure.

Maybe weekly. Depends how long the Pod cast will be each week. It would be cool to have a different person chime in each week on a topic. That would allow for folks that are busy, who would like to devote info, to keep from getting burned out on it.

I briefly had a podcast. Still have the equipment. I stopped because it was no fun doing it by myself. It was a lot of work by myself. It may be easier now to get it out there. But YouTube and Google Hangouts really fill that need in a alot of ways. I find I don't listen to audio as much anymore as it doesn't keep my attention.

My main "podcasts" are mostly on the TWiT network and they're all video.

A Google Hangout with Shug would be cool.

Are Hangouts live? I'd rather pre-record and interview other backpackers and such.
