    Mullica River Camp May 1-2,2015

My 4 year old son and I hike into Mullica River Camp from Atsion. Enjoy the video, we had a great time.

Awesome that you got your son out there with you! Going to try to get my little guy out for his first time sometime this year - might have to do what you did and bring him a tent.

Great vid! It would have been better if I was in it.

Your kid can talk. Cracked me up how he wanted acknowledgement that we had heard each sentence he had spoken. Reminds me of my wife.

We couldn't have asked for better weather conditions: a high in the low 70s and a low around 38* F.

It was great hanging out with you guys and enjoying the piney woods!

Definitely a good time. Kellan is already asking to go camping again so apparently he also had a good time too.

Big fire down this way right now. 700 acres already burned and they are saying its not contained. Hope everyone stays safe.

That's a teeny fire - good for the forest; not necessarily good for homeowners.

Yeah, the pines need it. Things have been pretty dry and I dont think they have had a decent burn back there yet. Guess it was due. Someone down there has been setting fires this week though, hope this wasnt the case this time.

The fires in Pemberton were arson. Relative humidity under 45% is problematic, currently around 35% so it's torch city around here.

Better to have the fires, otherwise folks will be talking about the Oak Barrens in 100 years. We're already messing up the natural order with our misguided forest management efforts of the last 100 years. Some pines varieties are less resistant to fire than they used to be, not to mention trees that did not arrive naturally such as the lob lolly pine.

So far no injuries. It's off of Quaker Bridge Rd and spreading some.
