New Whoopie Sling to Strap Buckle

Hi all, I just finished making a buckle to attach a whoopie sling to tree strap without using a Marlin spike setup. Even though I do like the marlin spike it bothers me to see my straps knotted up. I made these today (I'm a machinist) and will be testing them tomorrow night in the piney woods. I have not seen anything exactly like this on Dutch's website however if he has made them my apologies to him. Please let me know what ya'll think. You can tell from the pics how they work.

Looks like Dutch's adutchable clips with a closed end for the strap. Different use though. Great job.
I have tried machining a few items for testing too. Look forward to the results of your hang.

I wonder if you lose too much strength by being open on one side. What if instead of cutting into the side you instead rolled that tab to make a hook offset 90 degrees? It might want to twist less.
