By the way if anybody could use or knows someone that could use about 10 gallons of kerosene, I picked up a couple spare gas cans that came loaded with the stuff that I've got no use for so if you've got a means and a need for the fuel, let me know and I'll bring it to camp for you.

Backyard test was a success - my little guy did just fine sleeping through the night in a tent, with me hanging nearby. Though he woke up at 5:30 looking for a snack, so we went back in the house and I left him watching tv while I went back out and slept for another 3 hours Whoever said that it takes some time to get used to sleeping in a hammock again is crazy - that was my first night outside since March, and I slept like a dream.

I'm officially confirmed, with my son. 1 hammock, 1 tent, though I'll bring an extra hammock for him to try out too.

Thats great Silent O. I too tested with my 7 year old. He slept all night in a hammock.

Nice! Earlier in the day my son got into my hammock, and said he wanted to sleep in there - but it was my 11' Thunderbird, and there's no way he can sleep in that - the zippers to get in and out are way out of his reach I'm going to bring my WBBB, as at least the zippers meet in the middle - maybe that'll fit him better.

    ATTENTION:

If you did not reserve a site or are not being added to someone's reservation, PM me the names of the people in your party and vehicle make model and plate number. I will add you to the group site reservation.

When we get there, we can figure out where to set up and collect the needed fees to reimburse those who paid.

    Thanks!

Long term forecast calling for possible thunderstorms this weekend. I'll have to play it by ear - I'm not a fair weather camper in the slightest, but I'm not sure I want to subject my 3.5 year old to a day in the rain.

Let's hope the weather folk are wrong this time.

Saw the same. It's 5 days out, forecast will surely change a lot between now and then. I'm sure my wife won't like the idea of having the kids out in the woods with thunderstorms around.

My 21-year-old daughter Banelet will be home and wants to come. She's not much of a fan of weather, but 50% chance of rain certainly doesn't sound like much. I haven't heard from my 23-year-old son Vanilla Pudge but he'll probably want to come (assuming the weather is decent - he's a fair-weather camper too).

My 16-year-old Shelf Life has to work - he can't make it.

She does realize that it was around the same time of year, two years ago, (Father's Day) that we encountered all the bugs (including the pine cone spider) that drove her to hide in the safety of her hammock, correct? :-)
