    Pitch your tarp TIGHT. As tight as you can. I've used the reflective nitize cords before on the tree tie outs of the tarp. worked just fine for me. don't know about the kelty but I crank on the tie outs with my WB mamajamba. Plenty winter snow trips, never use the side pull outs. With that small amount of snow your tarp should not sag. Also make sure your stakes are firmly in the ground or around rocks or whatever you use. Good job for making it thru the night!
