I have set it up. I think it is a great step up from a generic blue tarp. I haven't had it in the rain or weather yet though.

i have used the blue the brown tarps, finally broke down and got the hennessey hex. Paid 70.00 on amazon went with the 10x12. Like alot.
I have the GTSBP and started with a Tyvek Tarp. But was to big and heavy in the backpack. Now using Mamba Jamba tarp. Great coverage and easy to set up.
