Hey guys/gals! I hear Hawn State Park is about the most beautiful short hike out there. Sounds like it would be perfect for any new hangers (like me) as well as a favorite among the more experienced hangers. If your schedule has been like mine and too busy to hang out, now's your chance. Any takers?

Some of us are going on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend for a quick overnight hike . Come join us if you can . As for Hawn I haven't seen a better area to hike in Missouri , especially that close to St. Louis .

Looks like this will be a damp solo hike unless someone else is as desperate as I am to get outdoors.

I might be able to get out. I had a couple hockey games Wednesday, still pretty sore. I would be down to hike in Pickle Creek Trail and camp at the backpacking camp for an overnighter, just not feeling up to a longer hike this time. What time are you gonna be down there Saturday?
I was planning on being down there around noon or so. My plan was to hike down to camp 2 or 3 and then hike back up to the trailhead to finish the Whispering Pines loop. That said, I have no problems just hiking to camp 1 and relaxing. With a shorter hike, would it make sense to meet up at the trailhead at 2pm? I sent you my cell #, so feel free to call or text me.
