Hang time in rainy conditions with wife

Early spring thru early summer in Ohio and Kentucky yeild storms. Trying to convince my wife to go even with rain in the forcast. She has a WB MB tarp an WBBB hammock. She will be fine but she is a "fair weathered" hammock camper. Any tips?

I want her to go. I kinda like her and all....

Know what you mean. Same situation here. Go solo. Take pics. Brag about it.

Where are you going? If it is a hike or dump camping trip. If it is a hike and only one over night then take a flask of wine and flex chairs and build a fire close to the tarp in porch mode and enjoy the even with her. If you are dump camping after setting up maybe go take a movie in and then come back and enjoy what is left of the even.

May be onto something with the wine thing.

My kids, 16, 21 and 23 years old, are all fair-weather campers (wife too, but she doesn't even camp). I guess none of them inherited my love of foul-weather camping. I love weather!

Your info says you have a Superfly - I would let her use the Superfly, and you use the Mamajamba, especially if there's the threat of inclement weather.

The doors will give her more of a feeling of security, as well as more of an illusion of privacy. You could even carry the SF, and spare her the 5oz.
