    Mojave Desert Hanging

The high desert is a great place for hanging, if you can find trees and don't mind strong winds (40 mph gusts) and extreme temperature swings (40 degrees or more). The Mojave desert encompasses southeastern California and southwestern Nevada.

Those are not mountains ... they are sand dunes! Mojave National Preserve, CA.

Desert = heavy winds, I used a small tarp and very big rocks on the stakes.

Mt Charleston / Spring Mountains, just outside Las Vegas NV.

    Owens Valley, CA.

    Sunrise view.

Looks like you found the spot. The SW interests me, but generally too hot for this northern cowboy.

Awesome pictures. I do love those views but i do have a hard time with heat like that. Nice to be able to live vicariously through others though.
