I've never used Dutch clips, but now I'm interested.

Clips or carabiners for me. I once thought I would just run the strap thru its own loop. Then, after getting the hammock set up I found I needed to raise the strap at one end. But low branches kept me from just sliding it up - had to undo the hammock, lay it on the ground, then undo the strap and re-position it above the next branch. Went back to carabiners in the ends as soon as I got home.

I agree that the chance of forgetting the tree huggers is a lot easier if disconnected from the hammock. The other thing you may have noticed is the adjusting of kevlar straps. They don't feed as well as nylon straps. It is easier to twist because they are softer. It may be worth the weight. What about whoopies, do they shave a little bit more? I've not compared them with kevlar.

    Also with the ADutchable Clips.

Used steel carabiners in past and was tired of snagging my straps. ADutuchable Clips lets me attach and adjust the short straps/Speed Hooks with ease without having to remove the hammock to get around branches.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

I don't use dutch clips.....yet. Right now I just go through the sewn loop at the end of my hugger. I will be getting some soon. New to hanging and making a list of all the Dutch bling I need. These were the first on the list.

I have some Dutch clips, and I really like them. That being said, when I go on my 96 mile 4 day hike next week, they will not be in my pack. Having to feed my hammock anchors through the loop is kind of annoying, but not enough for me to carry the clips that far.

I just feed through the loop end. I love Dutchgear but can't seem to drop 18.00 on dutch clips when I can feed through the loop and adjust as I go.
