    Tarp tieouts

I have already looked but couldn't find the answer so here goes!
What do you guys recon is the ideal length for your tarp tie outs not just the side pulls but for your corners? I'm thinking about 10'-11'

My corners are all about 3 - 4 feet, and then I have some extensions that I add on if I want to go into porch mode. I don't have side pullouts on this tarp, so I can't comment on those.

I have 8' long guy lines for the perimeter of my tarp. I have never found that I was lacking in length and I can also pitch my tarp in porch mode with ease. I use a prussic loop to attach the guy line to the tarp guy out loop, so I am not using any knots. If you choose to use knots of some sort, you will have to factor that in your decision.

I think you'll find anything in the 6' to 8' range will be more than sufficient 95% of the time.

    Cheers

6 foot here and wish I went 8; with pursiks on tarp tie outs for adjustment. Plan on switching the prusiks for Dutch Flyz's with next Tarp.

Mine are around 8' with eye splices. I also did prussik loops using soft shackles.

I run 8' permanently attached to each stake for the bottom tie-outs. Seems more than plenty long and 8' of zing-it weighs as much as 2'-5' of zing-it. In other words not much.

I use 6' on the corners and 3' shockcord on the doors. I've found that to be plenty for porch mode, higher pitches and anything I've encountered. If I'm expecting really good wether then I'll take a little extra cordage so I can tie off to trees further away if necessary to get my tarp pitched around 7' high and double porch mode with the sides around 6'6" high so I don't need to duck under it.
