Inspired by the thread about using a Beckett hitch on Kevlar straps I threw together my own take.
2 seven foot polypropylene 1 inch straps with a loop tied in the end ( figure 8 on a bright knot )
2 ten foot lengths of 3/4 inch muletape larks-headed to my table cloth hammock.
Wrap the straps to the trees. Take up the muletape, and figure out how long you need the straps to stretch and tie the Beckett hitch / slippery sheet bend.
I tried it today and it wasn't very difficult. I ended up having to retie each end twice as I misjudged the distances involved, but the knot is quick to disengage when tied 'slippery' . I also found I could basically tie it in a few seconds.
