    Loving the new Envy

I received my new SL Argon 1.6 Envy in Forest Green on Saturday (thanks for the quick work), so Saturday night was spent in the back yard. My wife thought I was nuts since it was 'cold' out. It was around 40, so I wanted to try sleeping with the top cover on and no tarp. When I got up to water the plants in the middle of the night I noticed that it was significantly warmer inside the hammock than outside, but I think the top cover will be put away for a while now that summer has come to SE PA.

So the free time over the weekend was spent sewing new Kevlar tree huggers, a ridgeline organizer, triangle thingies and a bishop bag that is much smaller than the double ended stuff sack that came with the hammock.

I will put up a video review in the next week or so, as well as some of the weights for my model. It is really nice to have it set up just how I wanted it.

    Thanks Meck family!

At a group hang, according to my thermometers, it was about 8 degrees warmer inside my EnvyS with the topcover on than the reading from the remote sensor I set up about 50 feet away on a picnic table.

I do love my Envy and, I suspect, my Envy S will be loved all the more. These are some seriously nice hammocks.
I shall be trying the EnvyS out, with the bugnet, at Smoked Butt, tonight through this weekend!

    I hope this suffices.

An added bonus, while I was laying in the hammock I heard a buzzing and saw a hummingbird land on it's nest 20 to 25 feet above me. Here is a shot of it. You can see her beak and tail overhanging the sides. The nest is a little smaller than a golf ball.

Thanks for the Hummingbird pictures. They fascinate me. I have never been lucky enough to actually see a nesting bird.

That was a first for me. I figured that I would never see one in the woods...I wish I could see inside it. The eggs have to be the size of peas.

I like the video Doogie! Good to see the new steed in your stable.

I had be eyeing up the PolyD 1.4 Charcoal Grey Netty for some time now.

One popped up this morning on the for sale section that is 11ft, Charcoal Grey PolyD 1.4, right lay, double layer, with ridgeline organizer, pack hooks on the side. I didn't hesitate to grab it for a good price. I'm looking forward to camping with my girlfriend with our Nettys side by side!
