    Hello from the deep south!

    Hello!

I'm a mom of 3 small kids (ages 8, 6, and 3). We frequently tent camp (SO, the 3yo, and I stay in an REI Kingdom 6 with tech garage, the 2 older kiddos stay in a Eureka Copper Canyon 4).

I'm intrigued by this hammock thing and hoping to learn more, since SO and I want to do some 2-3 days backpacking trips (he used to do a ton, I never have).

He's a leather worker by trade (gun holsters, wallets, anything you can name). I'm a police officer and child passenger safety technician.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone

Welcome from central Alabama. Lots of great info here. If you can catch a local hang you could always go and take the tents, then check out some hammock gear first hand.

Welcome to the site. Wade in slowly, it is easy to get info overload. As mentioned earlier, try to check out a group hang.
