    +1 on schaapj's approach. I love Dutch and all his bling but don't find it necessary for tarp tie outs. I tie continuous loops of shock cord to the tarp tie outs then use zing-it that has a fixed loop on one end and bury on the other. I larks head the loop to the shock cord then tie to my stakes using a slippery knot. OK, I guess the Zing-it and shock cord did come from Dutch so I do use some of his bling.

    Yeah, I prefer shock cord.

    Personally, I use this for my tie outs.

    The reason being that the line reflects light so no one rips on my lines in the middle of the night. Other than that I just tied a loop in one end, larks headed it to the tie down points and use some Aluminum tensioners. My Noah's Tarp actually came with some light weight Y stakes so that's a plus.
