    Fronkey Bugnet Ridge Line Length

I've got an 11' argon hammock and an 11' Fronkey bugnet for it. I am enjoying both of them. I'm playing with adjustable ridge line for the hammock and so far I've settled at 114 inches. Now that I've extended it to more than 83%, I've noticed the bugnet looks tighter and I'm just wondering if this is OK for the bugnet.

Dutch Froney Bugnets (and Bias Buginator/NanoBuginator) are made for people who use an 83% ridgeline. If you are not using an 83% ridgeline, then you need to get a bigger bugnet. You should be using a 109.56" ridgeline for an 11 ft. hammock (83%).

The 11 footer measures 114 ridgeline. So you are maxing it out. I would bring that in a bit.

There's no magic to the 83% ridge line number. It's a guide to a starting point from where you dial it in to your personal comfort level. I have the ridge line of my 12' hammock set at 121", or about 84%. You're at about 86%, so if you're comfortable, you're OK with the hammock. I'm sure Dutch will chime in soon as to whether or not you're stressing the net.

Well, there he is. If I wasn't poking at my tablet with a stick, it wouldn't have taken me five minutes to type a post.

Thanks, I'll see how 112 or 113 feels and see if it helps.
