    Howdy from North Texas

A little background on me: I am 17 years old and have been in Boy Scouts most of my life. One of my leaders started making hammocks and gave one to my Dad 3 or 4 years ago. I started hammock camping about a year and a half ago. I currently use a texsport hobo II hammock, a texsport 10x12 camouflage tarp, themarest ridgerest, and 20 degree mountain hardware bag. In a couple weeks time this will all change. I am waiting on some samples from ripstop by the roll (should be here Friday) and then I will be ordering materials for a tarp, underquilt, bugnet, and maybe a top quilt. I will also be ordering some amsteel to make UCR'S to replace my paracord suspension.

Welcome from Florida. With all that rain you had recently in North Texas you should benefit greatly from being off the ground!
