No problem Tumbleweed. Was wondering where you were going to stash the pots 'n pans. Maybe the coons would have licked 'em clean for ya!

Turns out I'll be at the FHQ closer to 1pm on friday. Expect y'all will be at S2 by then.

Just packed my virtual backpack on Excel. I have a base weight of 13lbs and a total weight of 25lbs. I think that I will be able to comfortably do the walk. I'm excited!! I gave up my camp chair but I think there should be plenty of seating. Plus I'm bringing a reflectix coozie pouch that I can use as a sit pad.

Having fun packing tonight. Looking forward to tomorrow's modern definition blue moon and sitting around the campfire. See y'all in about half a day.

Tumbleweed and I dropped off our water by 12 & sweno. Then dropped his truck at WWL. My car is at HQ. We are headed to camp so find us there if you need a ride from me to WWL or to drop off water at site 3

Seemed like everyone had a good time. Was fun meeting new people and talking gear. Hopefully I'll get a trip report and a synopsis of what we learned up before too long. Perhaps a few of the others will as well.

    Happy Trails!!

Was nice to meet all of you out there at the shelter. Maybe next time will be able to do the overnight hang.

This old graybeard had a great time meeting you all. Learned the hard way to get more serious about shaving weight on gear and body. Why the ---- did I bring the WB black mamba TQ in August in WI. Too much food along also! The evening cameraderie and idea-sharing made it all worthwhile. Got in some wayside naps in on the way home. This hike is serious, but we were a determined group. Enjoyed meeting all of you. Thanks, Tumbleweed.

Had a great time. The hang, and hanging out, was very enjoyable. The hike...... it's the southern kettles in Aug, for those that have done this section nothing more needs to be said!! Those that haven't....... prepare yourself for a rugged hike! This could very well be the toughest section in the area.

It was an honor sharing the trail with such a determined "old greybeard"! Might have been the heat, but i don't recall any facial hair We certainly enjoyed the stories along the way.

Enjoyed meeting the group, along with a few visitors, at this hang. Hopefully our visitors are able to spend the night at the next one......in cooler weather

It was one of the best group of people to be with. All similar, yet all different. It was great conversation with everyone there. I'll try to post a report today. The hike was definitely not for the faint of heart but yet it was accomplished by all who were strong in spirit. I had a blast.
