What I have been up to.

Sense it's been 90 degrees most days, I traded my table saw for a thread injector. Been working on a few projects
I picked up a 5x7 tarp at Walmart and pulled the grommets out and put tie outs on it. I got it to cover my sons hammock, works about right. I then made my son a small pack out of a harbor freight blue tarp. Manly did it to test the designe for the green lack I built my self. My sons measure to be about 9l mine is about 19l. Mine is intended for day hikes manly. I plan on using his for day hikes and over nighters, only fits his hammock, tarp and fleece top quilt so it's not to heavy for the little guy.

The blue one comes in at a slim 2.76oz. But it is designed as a kids pack, has no pockets, or frame of any sort. The green one, with its plastic frame sheet(old cutting board) is 11.76oz.

It's really not to hard. I can hardly sew a straight line. I think the real hard part is layout and cutting. I'm trying to figure out a designe to make a "bath tub" bottom pack. This one turned out a little bigger then I thought it would. I plan on finishing it this week, I have to finish binding the inside edges. When I do, I'll start designing my next one. I just used JoAnns rip stop for this one, my next one I think I will order some Hyper D 300 for it, and try incorporate a frame stay. First though I just ordered some Silypoly to make a Hex tarp.
