Hi all :
Recently I had to contact Randy and let him know that through my poor judgment, I had fouled a suspension strap on my Thunderbird hammock. I had allowed one of the straps to slide down sideways into the buckle to the point where the buckle bit into the strap and shredded it. (Predictable if I had paid attention.)
My fault all the way and I make no excuses for my poor judgment. I will pay more attention in the future.
That being said, when I contacted Randy and explained the problem, he accepted my order for replacements, consoled me, and even offered an alternative to my replacement order that would have provided a more "heave duty" option.
The ordered replacement straps arrived within two days from the order and I have now replaced the problem strap, (self inflicted), with the new replacement strap.
What was particularly noteworthy, was the fact that Randy and Deanna had included some extra "bling" in the shipment for me to evaluate. A new multi-purpose buckle system along with a nice compact, light weight carabiner. Randy's soon to be new offering is going to be a real homerun. After reviewing the multi-purpose buckle and the various options for use, I a beyond impressed. It is truly "multi-purpose" and I will be filing a field report next week-end after I return from a hang in Northeastern Massachusetts.
Talk about a guy (and gal) who get it, Papa Smurf, (Randy & Deanna), and Dream Hammocks thoroughly grasp the concept of customer service and customer satisfaction.
I want to publicly acknowledge the excellent service provided by Dream Hammocks and let anyone who may be sitting on the fence as to which, of the multitude of excellent hammock manufacturers to purchase from, that Dream Hammocks is second to none in terms of quality, options, and customer service.
Many thanks Randy and Deanna, and best wishes for a successful and fun 2015!
All the best !
Gil
