Youch, yep, get to know your gear. I have zipper pulls that always get caught in the double layers if I don't pay attention. Normally I'll shift just a little so there isn't too much tension on the zipper near the shoulder. Never had it get caught up like that. (hoping I don't jinx myself by saying that now)

A few spots here or there where I have a minor hole in the net. A dab of silicone fixes it. Stitch with black thread if needed.

Easy fix for WB, seam rip and replace but I would expect it to cost a few bucks.

Dang it! I tore a hole in netting too today. Caught it on a piece a gear during set up. I am going to sew it up with thread. Maybe put some nail polish on the edges to keep it from fraying.

The only place I find that I snag is close to the head end. I just make sure to push the whole zip out so there's a bit of tension. Then it runs smooth as butter

Sew it up and then treat the area with alittle clear nail polish to avoid any futeure run in that area.

I would spend my time figuring out how to operate the zipper so this does not happen again.
Maybe move around in the hammock so the zipper has a smooth path to travel.
The damage is not that bad, but it is still worth fixing. I know how to operate the zipper, it was just 4 am and I was not totally coherent and it snagged when trying to close the hammock up. Shame on me...

I don't think it was a design flaw (in my opinion its a bit of a catchy zipper...I would maybe use a bigger toothed zipper or add a zipper collar) or anyone's fault but my own, I was just curious to see if anyone had the same problem and what they did about it.

Thanks for the replies. As usual (great company), I did hear back from Warbonnet quickly with the following:

"We could give you a translucent stick-on patch, that would be easiest"

Not exactly what I was expecting but its a good place to start. Sounds a lot like tape which is what I was going to do anyway. I'll use clear nail polish on the hole and then use the patch and see how that does. I did ask Brandon if there were any options for actually fixing (vs patching) but have yet to hear back. I will update with his response.

It doesn't look like a run so, you may be fine just leaving it alone too.

The product/patch that Brandon is sending me is called Tear-Aid. I have not heard of it before but it looks like awesome stuff. Should work fine.

He also told me that I can order a new top for $65. I think ill go with the patch and see how it works.

I sent my blackbird in for repair and had it back in about a week. Great service.
