    Taylor Ham or Pork Roll?

Taylor Ham, Baby! (a Jersey thing) (I live and work north of I80)

Hello, People. Mike here from the Garden State. Experienced camper transitioning from human powered watercraft to walking.

So...going from 166 liters of storage to 65 in my new Osprey Atmos and my 'backpacking' tent isn't up to snuff on the weight/volume to value scale. Enter the hammock/tarp shelter for my overnight adventures.

Thank Google and this forum and I've placed my order for an 11' Envy-S to replace my not so portable ground dwelling.

I'll be back in a few weeks (Meck needles willing) with pictures from the woods.

Sorry, but it's Pork Roll, NOT Taylor Ham. To quote the Trentonian:

"There is no debate on this. It’s pork roll. Taylor is a brand, much like Case, and they are the two major pork roll producers. Calling pork roll “Taylor ham” is akin to calling all tissues “Kleenex.” It’s simply not correct. The end."

Ha, I was going to say I thought they were the same thing. Funny, I was planning on making some pork roll & cheese sandwiches for dinner.

    Thanks!

@ Swizzlestick Thanks! I live in Sussex, work in Bergen. We'll talk more.

Lol @ Doc & Ratdog & fallkniven. Taylor ham egg n cheese just rolls off the tongue.

@ NJRedneck that Father's Day camp got me off the fence to place order for my hammock. I can't overnight even if my hammock arrives in time but I'll be there if anybody wants to do RV later in the year. I have some hours paddling but never camping there.

@ infamous1 it's a Jersey thing and it just doesn't make sense (and not even remotely funny) unless you've spent some time here. I just used it like a turkey call to get my neighbors to stop and chime in. NC waters have smacked me around from the Nantahala to the Outer Banks.

@ SilvrSurfr Thank you, Sir. "And trapped upon this world of madness stand I!" (I only know it from the Gere movie)

Thanks to all for sayin Hi!
