Nice video! Looking forward to the design video.
Nice video! Looking forward to the design video.
Thanks all.
WV-- Amsteel is sewn in for about 6 inches at each corner. Turns out to be enough to hold it in place.
Boston--great question. I use a hot knife to cut, so as to seal the edges. I would not trust that design if the edge could fray. Otherwise I'd probably cover it with bias tape rather than try to roll the edge. Did I mention that the impact of rolling that edge is deleterious to clean design ?

This is great. After spending 8 days in an attached half bug net in my halfwit I am especially interested this.
Not being able to see the foot end, is it open or partially closed with the same design as the head end?
Glad to see you posting Grizz, I have missed your posts.

I guess I'm too stupid to figure out what you guys are talking about. Using Chrome, I click on Go Advanced, then YouTube and post the last snippet (v=dA7rQl0JjEQ).

close to what I originally did, but some crufty javascript got inserted somehow. Just now edited to follow your instructions. We'll see if it 'takes'. Thanks.

the one difference between head and foot end is that I deliberately made the foot end past the spreader bar a little deeper, to let my feet sort of 'hang off' the end, which I like in particular when on my stomache. But otherwise both ends are closed off. Could save some weight by leaving off the endcap on the foot end, at least with the 1/2 net approach.
cheers

Its Awesome to see you still creating!
Mighty fine to see you out on one of the best sections of the SHT. Thanks for the Tip o' the Lip to I.
Need to bring my Grizz Bridge for a ramble. I did cobble a bugnet for mine some time back....very effective.
As to the video insertion....click on the "film strip icon" and I take the yt url from browser bar at top.

Thanks grizz, good to see ya again. That bridge looks mighty comfy I have a friend making me one. It's tough to find one for the bigger wider hammocker .. keep up the good work sir...Othello, I really like that one
It's not the boulders that throw us off balance, it's the pebbles beneath our feet
I've been wanting to make a grizz bridge for a while now. This might be the version that finally sits me down at the table. Will your design video be a complete tutorial...or should I study up on your previous designs?
Nice work!!
