First time buyer @ Hammock Gear - My experience

After about a year of hammock camping, I've decided its now my preferred shelter. I've been using various pads over the last four seasons with decent success but decided it was time to pull the trigger on an underquilt. I wanted the lightest setup, good function, and ease of use. After careful consideration I decided on a Hammock Gear Phoenix 40.

My customer experience with HG was nothing short of amazing. I had a few questions and I emailed them around 11pm last Friday, June 5th. By around 9:30am that following monday I had a reply email that fully answered all my questions. I decided to make the purchase around 2pm Monday, June 8th. I ordered a Phoenix 40, Cinnamon Brown outer / Burnt Orange inner. To my amazement I received a shipping notice the next day, June 9th, around 3pm. I was shocked it was done so quickly.

I got home from work today, June 11th, and it was on my door step. It's perfect. There isn't a stitch out of place. I strung up my hammock and it set up very quickly and easily. I couldn't be more satisfied with the experince on every level. Kudos HG, you've got a customer for life. I look forward to purchasing many more items from you in the future.

Stoked I'll be able to use it at the Kids Hang @ Mullica this weekend! Thanks again HG!

Congrats - all I can say is that you short-changed yourself with a 40* UQ. It will have very limited use and you'll need a new UQ come October!

ill get some pictures, just have to get them online first, ha.

surfer, I thought about going with a custom 30 or a standard 20. Im a super warm sleeper, like warmer than anyone I know. Ive used a pad all last winter, even in temps down to the low teens and was fine. If I can get to late October or November with the 40(with an winter sock perhaps) and then switch to a 0 degree UQ I'll be happy with that.

Don't mind the kids toys, it's their playroom in my basement.

Very nice! I have a Phoenix 40 and love it!
Thanks for the pics. Just make sure your don't use that trampoline to launch yourself into the hammock.
