Man this is close to me and sounds like fun! I don't think I'll have my hammock system buy then and my family has a beach house reserved for this time ro. I'll be up for this sort of thing starting next spring as I'll be all set-up with gear by then.

    Jeff,
I hope I am one of those 3 people. I'm planning on coming for the duration. Will be there the first day of the hang. Looking forward to it. Tell me what I can bring to add to our food stuff. I, too, know how to cook and drink.

Welcome from down at the beach! There are three more hangs in NC this fall, all in October. The Vista Point hang at Jordan Lake should be less than an hour from you. Come on down.

If not one of the 3 for that spot go ahead and take my 4th spot, since you are fully committed to being there and getting there earlier than me.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

Bearbait & I will be there around noon on Thursday, we're planning on having a couple of New York strip steaks that evening, along with some veggies in foil.
I'll have a tripod with a grate to suspend over the campfire,(see pics from previous hangs), there'll be room for a couple of other steaks if anyone wants to join us.

Oh yeah! It's going to be an excellent hang. Cool temps, warm hammocks, and good car camping, my kinda hang!!

Is it to soon to head up there???!!!
