Place to Hang near KC MO?

    Hey All
I'm going to be attending a motorcycle event in the KC area the weekend of the 27th of this month. Does anyone know if the campgrounds in the area are hammock friendly? The host Hotel is near the airport. Thanks.

Try Tiffany Springs Park. I haven't been out there since they started hosting the Warrior Dash events, but it use to be a very remote place. If that doesn't work you can also check out the Smithville Lake area or the Platt Falls Conservation area. Smithville has a campground but you could probably find a place down a fishing trail to hang for the night. Platt Falls has several fisherman's campsites but bring some bug spray for the mosquito's.
So many trails, so little time...

+1 on Smithville Lake, not hard to get to from the airport.
    We are the crazy people.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

It'd be a good idea to call about Smithville...with all the rain we've had lately the lake level was (still is?) way up (above 1993 levels); the campground might be underwater.

Weston Bend State Park is another option. As far as I can tell in the state rules & regs, hammocks are allowed.
