changed from a gathered end to a bridge hammock .the first time using it i exited wrong and wound up wit my feet in the hammock and my face in the ground,i think it knocked half my pride out of me not to mention that my desperate attempt to go pee was almost rendered unneccesary.

Hilarious post! I can't believe that I missed this until now!
A hearty, warm welcome from Florida!

I thought it was just oldgringo, but evidently everyone in Oklahoma has a great sense of humor!

Keep at it Avalonmorn, with a different hammock and after reading up on suspension systems (there's even a sub-forum for them). And don't hesitate to post any question on the forums. This is a great bunch of people that are eager to help you up off the ground!

Well, that certainly made my morning coffee more...entertaining! That story should be good for free beer somewhere down the road, for certain. Had me laughing pretty hard.

Glad that nothing was hurt beyond the ability of Advil to fix--well, perhaps besides your lawnmower, depending on where those nails are--and that you're willing to take another swipe at this!

Feel free to ask away at any questions you've got; we don't bite here unless specifically requested .

Wow! You completely told the tale of my first time in a hammock! (except there were a couple extra flips before my butt and the ground became acquianted) A better hammock and not using a nail will help immensely. Don't give up...just improve!

    How hard can it be?

Couldn't possibly be any harder than you've made it in your first attempt!
Keep your sense of humor, but start fixing things quick; some crash landings hurt more than others.

Actually, I'm a female, and am still "hanging" in there! Since then, I've done things with my hammock that are stupider than my first hang. I didn't post them because although Okies are tough, I didn't want to embarass Old Gringo!
Currently, I'm suffering from sciatica, am bored, and I posted this thread to yesterday's thread about a member wanting info about military hammocks, as his friend likes them. I don't think it was a friend at all

Sorry. I assumed gender based on your actions
Now, this is something I don't mind being wrong about
