Really looking forward to this trip. Did a 6.5 mile hike today. Would have been nice to finish and take a nice swim and hang after.

We will miss you and the missus and see you down the trail soon.
Glad to hear your gonna make it. If you can post approximate time when you'll get there and what trailhead and what days. It makes it easier for others to try and match your entry and come in as a group.
You'll have a great time in the Smokies and take pics for us.
There will be a few other hangs here before the Annual Florida Hang in January. Hope to see you at one of them.
Gear is important. That comes first for a scheduled trip. Hopefully we'll see it in Sept for the Summer's Last Gasp Hang.
I hope you can make it as well. It is not a straight shot, but the trail is usually marked well enough(daytime). It's a little more than 3 miles with some rolling hills and little overhead cover.
Try to make it to the trailhead at the same time as others and you can follow someone in. *bonus* they can knock down spider webs for you. Post what time and what trailhead and days you'll attend to make it easier. The earlier you get there the cooler the temp to hike in.

I would come in on the 17th and leave on the 19th. not sure what time that will be yet. from pats island.
I'm back from a month on the AT and looking for action.
Count me in.

It is too far ahead for me to know what time I will make it. But I am planning on making it 17-19. I am coming up I75 from the south , what would be the best trailhead to go too.
