    patching a down quilt?

So I just picked up two used JRD Snivellers from a member here and other than two little holes the size of a pencil eraser, they are in great shape.

So my question is, can I patch these with some type of tape or do I need to sew them? I've use ripstop patches on my paragliders and surf kites with great success and wonder if there is a patch that will cover these little holes and not look awful.

I picked up ripstop spinnaker tape in a boating store to patch up my bag and a tarp door. Loads of colours too

Sorry, I don't have any info for patching a quilt as I haven't had to yet. I was looking to see what the suggestions were here. Other than that I'd see about contacting the manufacturer and see if they repair or what they suggest.

I've had no luck with Tenacious Tape, but it might have been user error: I patched a down vest (made from Pertex Quantum), let it cure for 24 hours and then put it into the washing. The tape came off (with no traces). Maybe I should have let it cure longer, but I'm going to test the silicone-method that was recommended here next.

Anyone know if the tenacious tape would also work for a (small) tear in the inner layer of a double layer hammock?

Kenyon tape, I have an REI sleeping bag I got at a scratch and dent sale, cut a hole in each baffle and added down and patched the hole with Kenyoan tape, bag has been washed twice and no sign of the tape turning loose, also have down jackets with ember holes that were patched with it, also a 6" rip in a tent rain fly, I always take some on a long hike for repairs. You can barely see the clear tape on the orange bag in the photo.

I had tenacious tape on a down jacket for several years including a few washes. I cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol, applied the patch then put in dry on low heat. Seems to be holding quite well...
