What was your continuous loop on your hammock made out of? I tried it on amsteel and the thicker part of a dynaglide loop. I didn't try the thinner part, but I'd imagine it wouldn't feel as secure.

The grapplers hitch does not use a bury or slider. It uses a round turn (fancy name for a wrap) on the end of a strap loop.

What's nice about this is it does not get easier if you had three hands. Using a soft shackle with a bury or slider is a pain to open and close while you try to hold it around the strap.

I was using dynaglide dogbones for my fixed eye leader on the hammock. As I loaded the hammock the loop for the slippery part of the Crock's bend and the SOB both started to slide out.

I got three videos filmed today. They will be on YouTube in 2 or 3 weeks. COFFEE tarp suspension--no knots no hardware. PEANUT BUTTER & JAM hammock suspension. Please link to them to show on Hammock Forums. PJ suspension uses either spyderline dyneema or amsteel. No slip if hand tightened before laying in hammock and no IFS about it--jam free.
    Low cost. A
    Light weight A
    Low bulk A
Durability depends on what is used. B-
Ease of Use not everyone can tie a Farrimond Friction hitch, but it is absolutely jam-proof. B plus

Peanut Butter& Jam suspension. A lead of your choice and an 8 inch continuous loop either same rope or different than lead. Tie a 3wrap prusik on lead with continuous loop then larks head free end of continuous loop to hammock gathered end. This part can stay assembled. Then adjust lead and prusik to desired height. Tighten prusik and at same time bend lead inside prusik in a 180 degree hairpin turn. This way of tightening prusik is real tight. Then on treeward side of prusik use tag end of lead and tie a Farrimond Friction hitch around the lead and tighten it making sure all legs have equal tension. FFH does 3 things. Since it's a friction hitch it holds the lead. Secondly it maintains the horseshoe bend of the lead in the prusik. Thirdly if you have FFH tied close to prusik and if it slides then the FFH would collide with prusik So you don't get dropped to the dirt. If you think others on hammock forums will like YouTube video please link it to our thread--as I don't know about this technology thanks.

I have to admit I have not been following this thread too closely, but I don't think this has been put out there yet, so forgive me if this option has already been presented. I was inspired by MatthewMereidth's thread about his hammock to start playing with this stuff. Anyway here is what I cam up with, maybe it'll help spark an idea with somebody else.

    Good luck,

I like it. I'm going to try in a few minutes.
I can't hear your dialogue. Don't know if it's or your end or the server.

Easy to tie/adjust/untie. Single strand. I think I'll try it with zing it.
