    Father's Day camp weekend

    We do a father and son canoe trip in Mio, MI. This was my son and myself first time hanging in a campground for four nights! We both loved it and so did the raccoon that visited us every night!!!

    Looks like a great time! We used to do a Father's Day river clean up, I miss it as it was always a good time.

    What is that a baby raccoon?
    There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
    He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
    Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl

    The coon wasn't that old still a young one. He'd come out every night at 9:30 and go to the picnic table get a few things the boys drop and head back!

    We always came back with garbage and make it a point to have the boy's get it and bag it. Trying to teach them you see garbage, you pick it up.

    Looks like a blast! Was that an old ladder you were using as a support?

    That was an old ladder. I wasn't sure if we could find two good trees so I brought them just in case of a one tree hang.

    Cool, that is one of the first things that I teach the scouts when outdoors. Weather we are in town, at the park for a hike or out in the woods. Pick up all the garbage that the inconsiderate people threw on the ground! It will make them a better person and the outdoors a better place to be!
