I make sure the quilts are all nice and dry, no dampness, spruce needles, etc. The ones not in current season usage, 20 degree incubator, burrow, etc go in a large tote. They can all loft up nicely and not draw dampness from the summer humidity.
The two that I am currently using, ie either the 3s Yet or short summer UQ and 40 degree burrow, go in a very large nylon storage bag. That way I don't have to dig around. I don't have room to hang them, and I have 2 dogs; don't need the pups thinking they would make great beds.
I have mine in a large Action Packer stored in the garage...don't really have anywhere else I could put them unless I was to pack them in their stuff sacks, and I'd rather not do that.
Large cotton bag and then hang from a close rod in storage room.
I store mine in dress bags from walmart. They hang in a closet.

I just throw them in a pile inside a spare bedroom closet along with my old sleeping bags.
Some king size cotton pillow cases that I wasn't using anymore.
I keep mine either in an overstuff breathable stuff sack and hang in the closet or spread out on top of a spare bed and covered with a cotton sheet to protect from UV
