Ridgerunner spreader bar length

I just discovered that I lost the mid section (the short part) of the head end spreader bar on my ridgerunner.
I live in Switzerland and I'm heading out in a few days and wanted to bring the RR. Therefore can anyone tell me what the length of the mid section of the spreader bar is (NOT including the insert) i.e. how much length it adds to the bar OR just what the total length of the head end is (NOT including the pointy bits). That way I can fab a mid section whilst waiting for a replacement part from Brandon.

Total length is 39.5"

The middle section is 4" I believe. They are 0.625" Easton aluminum poles (single layers) or 0.742" Easton aluminum poles (double layer).


You can use the hammock without the middle piece, however. That's why it's as small as it is - it's optional. There's a tie to take up slack material at the head end when using a smaller pole.

Cool, thanks a lot, that makes perfect sense, without it, it's 90 cm /35.5 inches.

Yeah I've tried it without the middle piece in the past and I get just a bit too much shoulder squeeze for my liking.
