Y'all are too kind! While not an easy stretch of trail ya know it can't be too bad since I'm already looking forward to doing it again.

    Hi,

Is there any chance you can remember if there are spots to hang a hammock around shelter 3? I’ve passed a few shelters along the IAT where it’s difficult to find a spot. I know it’s been a while, but thought I’d ask.
    Thanks

Yes there are, we had around a half dozen hanging if I'm remembering the trip correctly I do remember my son and I hanging behind the shelter up a trail on the south side (??). One or two were on the ridge near the outhouse, to the West of it... maybe??

In general, I would say the shelter in the southern kettles will accommodate 2-3 hangers easily.

If you come down to hang, and don't mind the company, let me know. Would be great to revisit that site. I'm sure I'll be out that way hiking fairly soon, there was some discussion at a hang recently about hiking and hanging in the area, and can make it a stop if you'd like updated info of that shelter.
