I bought myself a spool of Lash-It from White's Marine, and I was curious if there was a difference between Zing-It and Lash-It besides color.

No difference other than color.

There's gotta be some kind of difference b/c I can get a prusik to work with three wraps if I use Zing It on Lash It or the other way around, but I can't get either of them to work on themselves without 4 or 5 wraps
I agree. The zing-it seems to be more slick in my opinion.

I'm with Sarge...
I've heard somewhere that zing it is made for use as throw lines over tree limbs where 'slickness' is a desirable attribute. And lash it is 'gripper' for tying, or lashing things together. But I've also seen Sampson's product page where they group the two together not pointing out any differences... I don't know what to believe, but Ive never experimented much with lash it.

An arborist throw line needs to have high visibility in a tree, hence the bright coloration of Zing It and Dynaglide.
