That's it. Quick and easy. If you're ordering (no you don't have to be entering the contest), feel free to use the code "HF-NS50-15" for a 15% price break. Anxious to see what's out there!!!

    Side-by-side A Frame bug tent

I wanted a bug net that I could use together with my wife when hanging side-by-side with Dutch's double whoopie hooks. Also wanted a place for my dog to come in out of the bugs, so I decided on an A-frame style bug tent with a waterproof bathtub floor that would hang up underneath my tarp. I used flat felled seams everywhere for strength (except for the ridgeline - french seam bound by grosgrain there).

    Concept:

    Materials list:
    • 8 yards of NS50
    • Yukon Outfitters Walkabout Rainfly for the floor
    • ~12' grosgrain for the ridgeline and floor stake loops
    • 11' Zing-it for hanging under the tarp
    • Sleeping bag zipper from Joann's
    • Oxford patches for reinforcements at suspension pass-through points

    Finished product:

Thanks for taking a look! I'm really happy with the way things turned out, and I couldn't recommend the NS50 any more - very strong, great amount of stretch, soft feel, and easy to sew. Thanks, Kyle, for the great product, and thanks for the generosity in this giveaway!

I just placed an order before your post. It will deliver tomorrow. I should have waited so I could get the discount.

I ordered some NS50 about 2 months ago to make a bugnet. I actually finally got around to making it about 3 weeks ago.

It's a basic Fronkey style bugnet. I don't have a scale handy, but the weight came out just over 3oz.

    Materials:
    7 yds NS50
    5 ft 1/8" shock cord
    Cord lock

It was a simple project following Fronkey's instructions for the most part.

The only I would have done and might still do is add a mitten hook at each suspension hole to clip via 1/16" shock cords to the hammock's continuous loop to keep ends pulled taut on the RL. I would probably also shorten it up a bit.

The NS50 is an awesome netting. It's soft like silk without snagging heavily or feeling overly delicate.

    I'll enter the ring:

Here is my latest Bridge Hammock.

    Main Materials:
    1.0 HyperD body
    NS50 mesh bug net
    2mm Ocean3000 cord for suspension.
    #3 coil zipper

Weight is about 10oz. I use my LT4S trekking poles for spreader bar's.

The hammock has 2 side storage pocket's (which don't get much use, because my UQ is rectangular), and one head end storage pocket (which I really like) all accessible from inside the hammock. Also has a storage pocket for the bug net at the foot end of the hammock, with ties to secure it.

The NS50 contest has now concluded and I will get on organizing a voting poll very soon. I don't really like the public vote via poll, so I'm looking for an alternative.....

Thanks to everyone for their submissions. May the best build win!
