    Suspension Strap Organizer

Not sure if anyone has ever thought of or posted this before, but it's commonly used on backpacks to handle the tag end of straps. Why can't we use it to bundle the tag end of tree straps that's left over most of the time . I've not tested it yet but could work as a pretty good water break too. 1-1/2 wide heavy elastic from Joann's, less than three bucks for a 1-1/4 yd. Cut at 3-1/2 in. singe ends, bar tack a quarter inch from edge, fold right side out and slide on working end of strap. Set hammock and adjust. Bundle left over strap and tuck under elastic. Positioned close to buckle or what ever adjustment you use and should work as a break too.

Nice idea you've got there! I'm too lazy for that (rarely even use it on my backpacks), but that looks like a good solution to keep your straps out of the way.

I always keep a handful of Ranger Bands in my pack for things like this, but I'm a little lazy as well and usually just let them hang. Good idea though.

Cool idea! Very clean, very organized. Gotta get me some elastic my next trip to the sewing store

Not to say this isn't a great "organizer" for the straps; however, I use a half hitch pulled against the triangles. Adding unnecessary support to stop slippage, yet easy breakdown by pulling the end of the correct strap. I just make sure the "bow" of the hitch is so large that all strap material stays off of the ground. Works both ends.

Your organizer would work to keep the strap better secured in the double ended sac than just stuffing. Alway's pondering new ways of doing things. Thanks!
