I bought a HH Explorer deluxe and now i am much more comfy. All i need to do now is to part ways with my frontline. I might keep the tarp and sell the hammock.

I love my DD Hammock. I am however 5'6" and around 185lbs and 50 years old (come January). I have a Hennessy Expedition also but prefer my Frontline over it. As Voivalin has stated, I can sleep very comfortable on my side or on my back in the DD. It is my summer hammock and I always get a great nights sleep in it. I'm wanting the DD under blanket for it.

I love my DD FL. Very comfortable for me, especially the fact that there is no "wall of fabric" and I can easily see out all sides, plus the higher bugnet. I lay head right on a slight diagonal, nice and flat, no shoulder squeeze. I am 5'9'' 255 lb.
I tried ENO and other HAAB types, the HH, and some DIY. Was even thinking to buy a WBBB so I could be "one of the cool kids". But the DD FL is my favorite; comfortable & very well made. I need look no further.
My .02, YMMV, HYOH, YOLO, etc, etc

Thanks SEMO
I have the DD under blanket and it works well. Also have the Top Quilt - I don't like it as much, not as warm.
Where are you in SE MO? I'm on the other side in Joplin.

I only find my Frontline comfortable if it's used with a mat inside. I bought an underblanket and although the UB is nice and warm I find the hammock itself is uncomfortable due to the ridge that has been mentioned. The mat flattens out the hammock inside. I'm 6' and 90kg and find it okay only if it's loose.
I really think everyone has a different comfort lay. I like mine super loose so I can het on a diagonal, but I'm 5'4" and 130. My hiking buddy is 5'10" 230, and she likes hers super tight. Try some different hangs, but if that doesn't work, a bigger hammock may well be in order!
Can a "short" hammock be extended using a spreader bar like is used in bridge hammocks ? DD Hammocks do have a lot of fabric in it's width so maybe spreading the gathered end tunnels onto (let's say) a spreader bar of about 8-12 inches should essentially "lengthen" the hammock.
To the spreader bar could a cord or webbing triangle be attached (again bridge hammock style) to complete the suspension.
