    I used to struggle with this, but after a while I found that getting in it and giving things a moment to stretch out or settle will also let me 'feel' if it's ok or not. Then, I adjust accordingly.

    Really, it's largely an individual thing. HYOH (hang your own hang)- whatever feels best for you is the right way.

    I'm sure that will be true for me as well. I have a tendency to over think some times. I'm sure once I've been out with the hammock a few times it will all fall into place.

    I was in Home Depot today and saw the yellow vari-pitch level (0.2oz). I figure if I attach it to the center of the WBBB ridgeline, and then check what increment it shows when I get a perfect pitch, I'll never again have to guess when setting it up on uneven terrain. Thanks for pointing this out.
