Not too many of us here, but I saw a few others around here. Good to know, as some stuff are country-spesific, especially when it comes to vendors, quick delivery and other such things.
So, Ive had hammocks in the past. The "I wanna fall out"-hammock at the cabin, with the plank gathering the ropes, and a rope-only hammock that wasnt good to sleep in. Read some more about hammocking after christmas, and let my sister know I wanted a TicketToTheMoon double hammock for my upcoming birthday (she is always complaning about me now knowing what I want for birthdays etc), and I got it a couple of weeks ago. Had a couple of hangs around. One just outside my place as a test, and another in the trees outside work (Im on vacation) so my work buddies could envy it as they was eating lunch and I was just slacking around.
Did my first overnight last thursday, and froze the entire time. Norwegian "summer" at 40-45 degrees, and my sleeping pad, light sleeping bag, an extra blanket, an emergancy blanket and a towel was not enough to keep me warm. The shoulders and thighs got too cold, but the rest was fine. Ordered an underquilt, so good to go for another run this upcoming week. Also got a bug net
Would like to get a Warbonnet Blackbird XLC with a superfly, but that will have to wait untill I see if I use my current setup enough for me to spend that cash. With an underquilt it should work some time into the autumn.
Other then that, I just turned 30, male, and work in IT. Live in Oslo, Norway, and grew up a bit further into the country. Plenty of good places to hang. Only bad thing is limits when up in the mountains, but it shouldnt be too much of a problem.
