Hair bead slider for whoopie loops

I was watching a Professor Hammock video recently where he makes a slider out of Lash-it to keep a whoopie loop in place. I though that was a great idea but the slider construction looked too much like work. I knew instinctively an easy light-weight substitution could be had in a large hair bead. A pack of hair bead can be found at any beauty store that sells hair accessories, the pack I bought cost $1.00. Figure the larger selection of hair extensions at the store will yield a larger selection of hair beads. If one doesn't want to spend money they may visit any sidewalk crack near an elementary school. You'll need the large size beads. The hole is about 3/16" in diameter or 6 mm. The beads can be used for anything, including as a stopper to prevent your loop from disappearing into your bury. The different colors of bead lets me know which is the head end and foot end before I hang my hammock.

I used something similar on my last whoopie but unfortunately it got caught between the rope and the anchor point and cracked right off!

Be aware of where the bead lands before you put weight on it.

Yep, those beads are notoriously fragile, and you'll end up with no bead at all. I prefer something more robust:

Of course, you have to put the dice in a vise grip and drill a hole, but they are pretty sturdy.
