    Comparable to Kelty Noah??

I do like the 12 x 12 tarp, but i would like it in a darker color. That tarp is really user friendly and i dont mind the weight. The price is perfect. But that color.... clear/gray/white color... maybe its just me being picky, but is there a alternative option to this tarp with all the same highlights... price, size, versatility, but in a different color?

DD Hamocks has something close - but a little larger and a little more expensive.

The Guide Gear 12 x 12 tarp is only offered once a year, and you have to buy before it disappears. However, I consider it to be a total piece of crap (I own two) that leaks like a sieve.

If the colors of the Kelty Noah really irritate you, then I'd suggest an HH Hex. It's not going to have the coverage of the Kelty Noah, but the color might be more appealing.

I would consider it white or tan - can't remember exactly.

I have two Noah 16's that I bought on closeout in 2011 as Kelty was changing from a black logo to something else... the fabric on our two is a nice light gray with a hint of blue. They still seem to shed the rain for us even after quite a bit of use in our Pacific NW adventures. We see some rain nearly every outing no matter the month. Came down on our camp last week for about an hour early one morning and glad we had it over our heads (mainly for the pine needles falling from above!). We also had a couple coleman side walls from way back we usually work in (darker gray side walls).

It wasn't the neatest/tightest set up for the single noah 16 we put up last week but it did keep the temp nice, needles off, and our gear dry. Of course, as you can see from the pic we had a perfectly good trailer or van conversion to duck into if it had really gone south. But we did sleep in the hammocks all but the last night as we break camp the night before to play it safe if the gear is dry at that point.

Well after i just bought my BIAS xl, I'm really looking st these tarps. Right size, color is good (i will use this setup for hunting as well, thats why i dont like the color of the Kelty), and the prices are good too.

Im going to dig around in the forum, but does anyone have any feed back on dd hammocks tarps? Customer service? Shipping? The tarp quality? Etc?

I can't comment on the DD tarps, although I have long been eyeing the 3m x3m. I did have one of their hammocks and aside from a few loose thread ends it was good quality.
As for shipping, besides being included in the price, if you order today you will get it yesterday - they are almost that fast...

Yeah I'm pretty sold on getting a dd tarp, I'm just trying to figure out what size i really want.

3x3m , 4x4m , or the 4x3m... prices are all appropriate so that doesnt concern me.

    Im 6'3" and 215, going to be in a bias 11' x 6' hammock.

I live in south Texas, so most of my camping will be in hot, warm, cool weather. It does get pretty cold here, but it doesnt last long.

With that said, id like the tarp to be able to open up to stay cool, and huncker down for a storm that blows in. Ie doors on either side.

Thoughts? Would the 3x3 be big enough?
