    help with mosquito buzzing problem

I've got myself a DIY sewn in bugnet that does a pretty great job of keeping bugs out...problem is it doesn't keep them very far away from my ears. It's not a generalized buzz that bothers me it's the sound of individual mosquitos up close that keeps me awake. I'm having trouble getting a restful night's sleep. Are earplugs the answer? Anyone have any advice for me?

that'd probably work. I don't want to make this thread a debate on the relative value of permethrin but I hesitate to use it when it's toxic (maybe not to humans that we know of - but it's the "that we know of" part that gives me pause...)

A small fan on the ridgeline can drown out a lot of noise.

ThermaCell. Make sure you get the old slide style on/off switch. People are having issues with the new turn/twist style on/off switch.

Though I spray my hammock with permetharin I still get the occasional buzz. It is going to happen in high skeeter season and in buggy states. You could hang a netting off of your tarp I reckon kinda like this.....http://www.sierramadreresearch.com/buy-gear/nube

Get that bug net further away, maybe a small diameter Easton Aluminum tube section to push the bugnet up and away.

Some nice soft earmuffs would fit the bill also.
